Terms

Terms and conditions

1. Who sells, and who these terms apply to

These terms apply to all orders in the shop on sonnenglas.net. Your contract partner is Sonnenglas GmbH, Marschstraße 94, 25704 Meldorf, Germany, e-mail info@sonnenglas.net, phone +49 4851 96390 63 — except for deliveries to the USA (see section 12).

Consumers and businesses buy from us. Where a rule applies only to consumers, it says so. Corporate gifts with a logo and terms for resellers are agreed in a separate offer; these terms apply to them unless the offer says otherwise. Deviating terms of businesses do not apply.

2. How the contract is concluded

  1. You put products in the cart. There you see prices, shipping costs, delivery time and the total, and you can change everything.
  2. "Checkout" takes you to the payment page of our payment provider Stripe. There you enter contact, delivery and payment details and see the items and the total once more. You correct input errors directly in the fields or go back via "Edit cart".
  3. By clicking the payment button (for example "Pay") you place a binding order with an obligation to pay. With the express buttons in the cart (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Link) this is the confirmation in your device's payment sheet.
  4. The contract is concluded once the payment is completed. Right after that you receive the order confirmation by e-mail.

The contract languages are German and English. We store the contract text. You receive it with the order confirmation — together with these terms and the withdrawal information — by e-mail; there is no customer account in which you could retrieve it later. You can read, save and print these terms on this page at any time.

3. Prices and shipping costs

All prices in euros and Swiss francs are final prices including statutory VAT. Shipping costs are added unless shipping is free. Prices, shipping costs and delivery countries are listed on the Prices & Shipping page and in the cart. For deliveries outside the EU, customs duties and import charges may apply, which you pay.

4. Payment

You pay through Stripe with the payment methods shown at checkout. The amount is charged when you order. If we cannot deliver, we refund it immediately.

You redeem voucher codes in the cart. The conditions stated with the voucher apply; vouchers cannot be paid out in cash.

5. Delivery

We deliver to the delivery address you give, in the countries listed on the Prices & Shipping page. The delivery time is shown in the cart for the chosen shipping method; it starts when the contract is concluded. If a product is marked as available for pre-order, the delivery date stated there applies.

If a parcel arrives damaged, it is best not to accept it, or report the damage to the carrier and to us as soon as possible. This helps us with the carrier; your statutory rights do not depend on it.

The goods remain our property until paid in full.

6. Right of withdrawal — 30 days

As a consumer you have a right of withdrawal. We voluntarily extend the statutory period of 14 days to 30 days from receipt of the goods. Everything about it is in the return policy; you can also withdraw online via Withdraw from contract.

7. Statutory warranty and guarantee

The statutory warranty applies. For consumers it is two years from delivery; for businesses one year, where the law allows. In addition we give a voluntary manufacturer's warranty; its conditions are on the Warranty page.

8. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act and within the scope of a guarantee. For slight negligence we are only liable if we breach an obligation whose fulfilment makes the contract possible in the first place and on which you may rely (cardinal obligation) — then limited to the typical, foreseeable damage. Otherwise liability for slight negligence is excluded.

9. Dispute resolution

If something is not right, write to info@sonnenglas.net — we will take care of it. We do not take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board and are not obliged to.

10. Batteries and electrical equipment

Our lights are electrical equipment and contain rechargeable batteries. The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means: old devices, batteries and rechargeable batteries do not belong in household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries and must dispose of old devices separately from household waste.

  • Return: free of charge at your municipality's collection points, at retailers with battery collection boxes — or to us: Sonnenglas GmbH, c/o Stiftung Mensch, Marschstrasse 94, Halle 2, 25704 Meldorf, Germany. Please tape the terminals of lithium batteries.
  • Remove batteries first: take out batteries that can be removed without destroying the device before handing it in (the instructions show how), and dispose of them separately.
  • Chemical symbols below the bin indicate certain substances: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
  • Our lights store no personal data.

Our registration numbers: WEEE reg. no. DE91797521 (stiftung ear), batteries (BattDG) DE 27595059.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live continue to apply. If you are a merchant, the place of jurisdiction is Meldorf.

12. Orders delivered to the USA

For deliveries to the USA your contract partner is SNGLS US LLC, 3833 Powerline Road, Suite 601-I, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309, USA, e-mail info@sonnenglas.net. Sections 1 to 10 apply accordingly; the statutory EU right of withdrawal and the EU statutory warranty do not apply. We do, however, voluntarily grant the same 30-day return under the rules of the return policy, and our warranty applies as well. The law of the State of Florida applies; mandatory consumer protection rules of your state are not affected.
