Britta Wagner, a Teacher from Odenwald, Approached Us with Her Idea for a Fundraising Campaign – A Resounding Success!

Do you remember our Rainbow Animal Edition that was available last year? We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to your incredible support, we were able to donate €10,000 to Aktion Kleiner Prinz e.V. for flood relief in Ahrweiler.

From Idea to Reality

The idea for the Rainbow Animal Edition came from Britta Wagner, a dedicated teacher from Odenwald. She wrote the story of the Rainbow Animal and illustrated the accompanying booklet. Her creativity and dedication not only produced a beautiful product but also enabled a meaningful fundraising campaign.

Making a Difference

Thanks to your support, we were able to sell the entire limited edition of 1,000 pieces. For each Sonnenglas® sold, €10 went directly to flood relief efforts. Sylvia Oertker from Aktion Kleiner Prinz e.V. highlighted the importance of this donation: “The funds enable Aktion Kleiner Prinz to continue financing the additional trauma psychologist at the Ahrweiler Counseling Center. This position is crucial because many children are unable to process their experiences. Moreover, the suicide rate among children is steadily increasing.”

The therapy center was inaugurated in January 2024 and now fully provides the necessary support for affected children.

Sylvia Oertker: “Interested individuals can support us through financial donations or by organizing their own fundraising events, such as bake sales, sports events, and similar activities.” Every bit of help counts and contributes to providing essential support for the children in need.
