The story
The Sun Jar was invented to bring safe light to places without electricity — a replacement for candles and paraffin lamps. Today it glows on Berlin balconies just as it does in townships outside Johannesburg. Every jar is made by hand in our solar factory at Victoria Yards, creating real, fairly paid jobs. In the lid sits the modular SOMO solar light: it charges in the sun or via USB-C, runs up to 28 hours on a charge, and moves with you — into the Light Carafe, onto the Adventure Mount, or into whatever you dream up next. What goes inside the jar is up to you: flowers, shells, memories.
