The story
The Mini is made by hand in our solar factory at Victoria Yards, Johannesburg — in the same building, by the same fairly paid team as its big sibling. The glass is mouth-blown and recycled, and in the lid sits the SOMO Mini: it charges in the sun or via USB-C and gives up to 18 hours of warm white light. At 250 millilitres and just over eleven centimetres tall, the Mini is hardly bigger than a mug. It fits in a backpack, on the narrowest windowsill and next to any tent. What goes inside is up to you — sand from the last beach, a feather, a small memory.
