Housewarming

Light for the new home

The first evening in a new flat usually happens between moving boxes — and without a lamp on the balcony. A Sun Jar needs no socket and no drill. A housewarming gift that glows from the very first night — and for many years after.

What belongs in the new home

The jar opens. Fill it with something that remembers the old home — or welcomes the new one.

No cable, no drill

A new flat lacks a lot at first, often the light outside too. The Sun Jar hangs by its handle on the balcony railing or stands on the windowsill. It charges in the sun by day; at night the day/night sensor switches it on by itself.

It is weatherproof to IP65 and can stay outside. Up to 28 hours of light per charge on medium, up to 100 hours dimmed.

Indoors too

On the shelf, on the dining table, in the hallway while the ceiling light is still missing: the Sun Jar gives warm white light at 3000K, bright enough to read by. When the sun at the window is not enough, the SOMO charges over USB-C.

And the SOMO also works on its own. In the Adventure Mount, with lanyard, magnet and tripod mount, it becomes a lamp for cellar, tent and backpack.
