A Loyal Customer Shares: Nathalie Blaauw and Her Love for Sonnenglas®

We are very excited to introduce Nathalie Blaauw, one of our most loyal Sonnenglas® customers from Geesthacht near Hamburg. The 38-year-old Nathalie impressed us on Instagram when she shared a photo of her impressive collection of all Sonnenglas® generations. Her passion and long-standing loyalty to Sonnenglas® deeply moved us and made us curious to learn more about her wonderful story.

How did you first hear about Sonnenglas®?

I first heard about Sonnenglas on television, on Galileo on ProSieben.

What motivated you to buy your first Sonnenglas®?

I thought it was great that it is partly made from recycled material and that the money from purchasing Sonnenglas® helps people in South Africa, for example by creating jobs.

What inspired you to buy a second jar?

I love the light from Sonnenglas, and you can take it anywhere. The sun charges it, which makes it especially practical.

Which generation of Sonnenglas® is your personal favorite and why?

I have Sonnenglas jars from Generation 1 to 6. I love them all, and it's great to see how they have evolved. My favorite is Generation 6 because you can dim it. Also, the fact that the Sonnenglas jars turn on and off automatically is fantastic.

Do you have any special memories or experiences associated with Sonnenglas®?

I always take the Sonnenglas with me on summer vacations to the Baltic Sea. It's wonderful to sit on the beach in the dark with a Sonnenglas in the evening.

How do you use your Sonnenglas jars in everyday life?

My Sonnenglas jars are on the balcony. We have a canopy over the bed, where a Sonnenglas hangs, and one sits on the table in the living room.

Do you have any creative uses or tips?

Honestly, I don't decorate the Sonnenglas jars because I love their warm light.

What improvements or changes have you noticed in the Sonnenglas jars?

The first generation could only be turned on and off. From the second generation, the Sonnenglas jars turn on by themselves in the dark and off in the light. Also, the modules are now better packaged, so the technology is better protected.

Are there any special occasions when you particularly enjoy using the Sonnenglas jars?

Yes, at every party, the Sonnenglas jars are indoors and outdoors.

How do friends and family react to your Sonnenglas jars?

Whether friends or family, they all love the Sonnenglas jars. When I tell them the story behind Sonnenglas, everyone is absolutely thrilled.

Have you inspired others to buy them as well?

Yes, half of my family and friends have Sonnenglas jars. Whether they bought them themselves or I gave them as gifts, they all love the Sonnenglas jars and the story behind them.

Do you have any suggestions or wishes for future Sonnenglas® generations or products?

It would be great to have a Sonnenglas with a dimmer that turns off automatically after 6 hours.

What does sustainability mean to you, and how do the Sonnenglas jars fit into your sustainable lifestyle?

I think it's just great that everything can be reused in the Sonnenglas jars. Once a module was defective, it was immediately replaced.
