Kipli was founded just over two years ago. How did the idea come about and what is your mission?

I've been dreaming of starting my own company for a long time. When I met Davide and he told me his idea about Kipli, I saw the chance to make my dream come true. It was also the opportunity to create a brand that aligned with my personal values. Davide and I founded Kipli in 2018 with the aim of making affordable mattresses and pillows that are 100% sustainable, healthy for our customers and fairly produced.

Why mattresses?

Davide and his uncle were pioneers in mattress production. They had 20 years of experience in the production of latex mattresses. We combined their expertise with our idea and created the perfect Kipli mattress for us.

What makes Kipli so unique and sustainable?

We produce in Turin and Milan, in the north of Italy. We use euroLATEX and QUL-certified latex for our mattresses. These two certificates show that we only use natural latex, free from toxic or chemical substances. The latex comes from sustainable plantations in Sri Lanka and Malaysia. The euroLATEX certificate guarantees that the workers in the production chain work under European standards and receive a fair wage. The cover of our mattress is also made in Italy. It is made from OEKO-TEX-certified cotton and wool. Part of our revenue goes directly to organizations such as 1% for the Planet to actively support the protection of our planet.

Apart from the topic of sustainability, what speaks for your company and the purchase of your products?

We believe in transparency. We explain our certifications and the materials we use in detail on our website and in direct contact with our customers. In addition, we offer our products at a transparent and fair price. We do not have a high profit margin, but we guarantee fair payment for each of our employees and everyone who works in the production chain. The ergonomics of our mattresses are designed to ensure a natural posture of the spine and relieve back pain. We believe that returning to nature and protecting it is the basis for a good and healthy life, both for us and for future generations.

Where do you see Kipli in the next few years? What are your goals?

Our vision is to be the reference for natural and sustainable living. We want people to live healthier lives and be in closer contact with nature. At the same time, we want to protect our planet. That's why we make highly sustainable and durable products. With our flagship product, the Kipli mattress, we have seen that there is a high demand. We want to meet this demand with other interior products that are manufactured on the basis of our Kipli philosophy.
