Serenity is the calmest design of the Unwoven collection: cotton yarn wound by hand, row by row, around the stainless-steel frame. Push it onto a bottle, put the SOMO on top — and it glows the way it is named.
Every Lightshade is made by hand, so each one is unique. Slight colour variations in the pattern are possible.

The story
For the Unwoven collection we wind cotton yarn by hand, over several hours, directly around the stainless-steel wire frame — colour beside colour, row beside row. It happens in our factory at Victoria Yards, Johannesburg, in a region where more than 60 percent of young people are out of work. So every Lightshade is a job first and a lamp second — and one of a kind: slight colour variations in the pattern are part of it. Serenity is made for the evenings when nothing more needs to happen. Push it on, light on, breathe out.

Frequently asked questions
The cork base sits on almost any bottle neck — old wine bottles, water bottles, slender vases. No tools, no conversion.
A SOMO from generation 6 (since 2022) in Classic size — for example the one from the lid of your 1000 ml Sun Jar. The set already includes it.
Not in the Unwoven collection: the yarn is wound onto the frame for good. Swappable covers are in the Swapcover collection.
