Terms
Terms and conditions — South Africa
1. Who sells, and who these terms apply to
These terms apply to all orders placed in the shop on sonnenglas.net/za with a delivery address in South Africa. Your contract partner is K2019188774 (South Africa) (Pty) Ltd, trading as Sonnenglas South Africa Pty Ltd, 16 Viljoen Street, Unit 5G, Victoria Yards, 2094 Lorentzville, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa, company registration no. 2019/188774/07, VAT no. 4280286446, e-mail info@sonnenglas.net, phone +27 10 500 2185. More about us: Imprint.
Corporate gifts with a logo and terms for resellers are agreed in a separate offer; these terms apply to them unless the offer says otherwise.
2. How the contract is concluded
- You put products in the cart. There you see prices, delivery costs, delivery time and the total, and you can change everything.
- "Checkout" takes you to the secure payment page of our payment provider Stripe. There you enter contact, delivery and payment details and see the items and the total once more. You correct input errors directly in the fields or go back via "Edit cart".
- By clicking the payment button (for example "Pay") you place a binding order with an obligation to pay.
- The contract is concluded once the payment is completed. Right after that you receive the order confirmation by e-mail.
The contract language is English. We keep a record of the transaction. You receive it with the order confirmation, together with these terms, by e-mail; you can read, save and print these terms on this page at any time.
3. Prices and delivery costs
All prices are in South African rand (ZAR) and include VAT at 15%. Delivery costs are shown in the cart and at checkout before you pay and are added unless delivery is free.
4. Payment
You pay through Stripe with the payment methods shown at checkout. You enter your card details on Stripe's secure payment page; we never see them. The amount is charged when you order. If we cannot deliver, we refund it immediately. Voucher codes are redeemed in the cart under the conditions stated with the voucher; vouchers cannot be paid out in cash.
5. Delivery
We deliver within South Africa from our workshop in Johannesburg. The delivery time for the chosen delivery method is shown in the cart. If a parcel arrives damaged, please report it to the carrier and to us as soon as possible.
6. Cooling-off: 30 days
You may cancel your order without giving a reason and without penalty within 30 days after you receive the goods: we voluntarily extend the statutory cooling-off period of 7 days (section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act) to 30 days. Tell us by e-mail to info@sonnenglas.net or through the contact form. The only cost to you is the direct cost of returning the goods. We refund the purchase price within 30 days of your cancellation. Details: Returns.
7. Defective goods and warranty
You are entitled to goods that are of good quality, in good working order and free of defects (section 55 of the Consumer Protection Act). If a product is not, you may return it within six months after delivery, at our risk and expense, and we will repair or replace it or refund the price — as you choose (section 56). In addition we give a voluntary manufacturer's warranty; its conditions are on the Warranty page.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or any other law that cannot be excluded.
9. Complaints
If something is not right, write to info@sonnenglas.net or call +27 10 500 2185 — we will take care of it. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may approach the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud or the National Consumer Commission.
10. Batteries and electrical equipment
Our lights are electrical equipment and contain rechargeable batteries. They do not belong in household waste: please take old devices and batteries to an e-waste collection point, or send them to us at the address above. Please tape the terminals of lithium batteries. Our lights store no personal data.
11. Governing law
The law of the Republic of South Africa applies.
