The light in the lid: SOMO

It sits inside. It comes out. It fits every Sonnenglas.

Solar cells, battery and light in one module: the SOMO charges in the sun by day and glows in your Sun Jar at night. Take it out and use it on its own – as a flashlight, in another Sonnenglas or under the Lightshade.

SOMO has been around since 2022 – and it also fits every older Sonnenglas, right back to the first one from 2013. Your jar stays; only the light gets new.

The story

Lilac is the colour of the blue hour — the moment the garden goes quiet and the light may come on. The Lilac Edition brings that tone to the Sun Jar Classic: recycled glass, made by hand in our solar factory at Victoria Yards, with a handle for carrying and the SOMO in the lid — solar and USB-C charging, 100 lumens of warm white, dimmable, up to 28 hours on the medium setting. Everything about it is the lantern we have built since 2013. Only the colour is new — for everyone who likes their light a little softer.
